Gord Jones is a watercolour painter who cottages, and is inspired by nature, in the Haliburton Highlands, Ontaro Canada. He has just begun to display his work on www.MadeInHaliburton.ca and is a member of the Arts Council~Haliburton Highlands.
Gord has been painting for over 30 years. He has dabbled in a variety of different media but, is always drawn back to watercolour. Through the Dundas Valley School of Art and the Haliburton School of the Arts he has studied under many of Canada’s beloved watercolour artists. Some of his instructors have included Brian Atyeo, Jane Champagne, Gordon Perrier, Barry Coombs, William Biddle, Doug Mays and Art Cunanan. Gord has works in both private and corporate art collections.
Gord states that he “selfishly paints to communicate what interests him and hopes that it interests others as well”. Gord’s inspiration comes from both photos and plein air. He truly brings the landscape to life.
