A new sculpture is being unveiled at the Haliburton Sculpture Forest on July 9th from 4:30 to 6:15. The sculpture has been created by John McKinnon who will speak to its creation during the official opening. It is titled, “A Conspiracy of Ravens”.
What is the Sculpture Forest you say? It is an amazing trail through the woods of Glebe Park in the village of Haliburton, Ontario that has sculptures nestled along the pathway in intriguing spots. There are also artistically sculpted benches that you can use to enjoy the tranquility of the forest and the art created by humans and placed in this “natural work of art” setting. The Sculpture Forest’s website has more information.
John McKinnon is not a Haliburton artist but he has a strong affiliation with this community due to his teaching commitments at the Haliburton School of the Arts. The sculpture has been made possible by a generous donation by Noreen Blake.
