About the Artist:
Carole Finn is a painter and printmaker living in Haliburton, Ontario. She developed her artistic vision over the years at OCAD, York University -Fine Arts and Haliburton School of The Arts. Carole Finn is a founding member of Rails End Gallery and Arts Centre, Haliburton School of The Arts and Arts Council ~Haliburton Highlands and the Haliburton Art Guild system.
About Her Art:
Finn has a series of paintings, The Vancouver Island West Coast Project, about the Pacific Rim Trails and Beaches. More recently she completed a series on a little known but much travelled place located in the Haliburton Highlands on the Gull River: the Minden Wild Water Preserve. Carole invites us totake action and visit the Gull River, our sense of adventure and appreciationfor beauty aroused by the sensations her art evokes.“To create forceful and strong works that allow the viewer to feel the intensity of my experience deep in their being”. Her Minden Wild Water Series pictures do just that.
