Pick Up Options:

Although you always have to give a shipping address during the purchase process you will be asked at the final stage to select a shipping method. At this point you can select one of 3 Pick Up Options if you wish to save the shipping costs: 

1. Pickup at our home in Minden -- 1175 Shuyler's Island Road, Minden, On. K0M 2K0 is free
2. Haliburton at 153 Mallard Road, Haliburton, Ontario. K0M 1S0. 705-457-2458 costs $2
3. Markham at 208 Travail Road, Markham, Ontario L3S 3J1. 905-294-7997 costs $5

If you choose the pick up option you will be notified when the item arrives at the depot of choice. Please call ahead to confirm office hours on the day you expect to pick up the item.

New Low Cost Flat Rate Shipping on Single Items Valued at $50 or less

All items in our gallery that are priced at $50 or less now quality for a $10 shipping rate anywhere in Canada. If that rate does not come up when you go to the checkout please let us know and we will fix the problem. 

Flat Rate Shipping 

The rate for flat rate shipping is for shipping within Canada only. If you wish to have that item shipped outside the country please complete your order and we will get back to you with a shipping cost. Don't worry we will not charge your credit card until you approve the shipping rate. If you wish to know the cost before completing your order just email us the details of what you wish to buy and wher eit needs to be shipped and we will get back to you asap. 

Shipping Deadlines:

If you make an order by Tuesday of any given week it will ship by the Tuesday of the next week or we will be in touch with you to explain why the shipping period needs to be extended. If we contact you to extend the shipping period and you find that the extension will result in you not wishing to wait for the product we are happy to cancel your order and refund your money in full providing we are notified before the shipping actually occurs.

Explanation of Shipping Time:

The products we sell are made by local artisans who are spread over the large geographic area of the Haliburton Highlands. The products are held in the artist’s studios until sold and then taken to the shipping depot. Breakable items need to then be driven to a UPS depot for packing in order for the insurance to be valid during the shipping process. Given our remote location this is a 4 hour return trip and is made only once per week. Thus, our shipping times are a bit more drawn out than if we were located in a big city and had items stored in one single location.

Shipping Charge Changes:

The shipping of artistic product is not always a straight forward process. Each item is unique and costs vary greatly with changes in the destination. We make every effort to ensure that you receive an accurate shipping estimate at the time of purchase however, we reserve the right to modify the shipping charges that were documented when your order was placed. If the charges are increased we will contact you to gain agreement before shipping the item. Should you not wish to incur the increased cost of shipping we will refund the full amount of your purchase price including shipping costs.

Shipping Outside Canada:

We value the patronage of our out of country customers and will work hard to gain the lowest price on shipping items to you. However, we do not have an accurate shipping calculator for out of country goods. The figure noted in your cart is an estimate only. Please complete your order and it will be preauthorized but, parked without charging your card until we can provide you with a shipping quote that is acceptable to you. Alternatively, you can contact us to get a quote sent to you before you place your order.
