Textile Art Car Instructions
The fibres, threads and other materials in my textile art pieces are colour fast to normal exposure. Like all artwork, it is best to hang it out of direct sunlight. It is also recommended that it be hung away from the kitchen as airborne grease particles can accumulate on the fibres. For cleaning, use a soft bristle brush to remove dust particles. You can also use a vacuum hose if the end is covered with a fine mesh like nylon.
Soft-edged quilted items are washable. Placemats, table runners, etc can be machine washed and dried. Press flat with iron on cotton setting. Quilted art pieces should be hand washed in warm water using a mild soap. Lay flat to dry. Press flat with iron if necessary. Special care may need to be taken when pressing 3D effects.
